St. Annes Church, Chapeltown
Flower Festival - 30th/31st July 2005

The Flower Festival again this year (26th)
was a great success with over 70 displays.

The theme this year was Its Movie Time

Well over 100 sponsors enabled a beautiful array of displays
based on a variety of films from over the years.

A verse was written for the festival by Margaret Forster as follows:

Its Movie Time in Chapeltown,
A village small with great renown.
Our theme caused many puzzled heads,
Keeping some folk from their beds.
Chariots of Fire, Spiderman,
A Knights Tale and The Mexican,
The Secret Garden, Chicken Run,
A Fish Called Wanda, Wimbledon,
Easter Parade, Whisky Galore,
You
ll see them all and many more.
We hope your
Brief Encounter here
Will bring you back again next year.

Welcome to St. Anne's Church and to our 26th Flower Festival, titled "It's Movie Time",
a variety of films from over the years depicted by the displays. We hope you saw a film
you haven't seen for some time, and enjoyed memories evoked by the displays.

to depict this year's theme. Our thanks are once again due to all who donated money,
flowers, time and talent, and for everyone who worked so hard to make sure
that this festival was a success. Here's looking forward to the next one!
