The Flower Festival again this year (21st) was a great success with over 70 displays. Well over 100 sponsors enabled a beautiful array of displays. The theme this year was “I Didn't Know That” A verse was written for the festival by Margaret Forster as follows:.

Welcome to our Flower Festival. This year's theme covered the last two hundred years, starting with the birth of Christ (display No.14). Researching this period led us to say many times "Well I didn't know that !", hence the title of this year's festival. You may have shared this sentiment as you looked around, and, we hope, enjoyed our displays. Thank you, for sharing some time with us here in Turton.
