St. Annes Church, Chapeltown
Flower Festival - 24/25th July 1999

The Flower Festival again this year (20th)
was a great success with over 70 displays.

Well over 100 sponsors enabled a beautiful array of displays.

The theme this year was “Limericks & Rhymes”

A verse was written for the festival by Margaret Forster as follows:.

There was a weekend in July,
At the church with the steeple so high.
When you go though the door,
There are flowers galore,
What a wonderful sight, folks will cry!
